iPhone 5 Offically Announced
Whew!!! Ever since the release of the iPhone 4S back in October last year, people had already been anticipating the release of the iPhone 5. After months of rumors and speculations, Apple has finally unveiled the new iPhone 5 and refreshed iPod line. For the most part, if you were like me, who read anything involving the iPhone 5, then you already know that most of the rumors were, indeed, correct. Here are some the features for the iPhone 5:
Global 4G LTE Support
This was one of the features that everyone knew the iPhone 5 would have, because LTE has been out for a while now and many Android smartphones support it.
A6 Processor= Double The Speed Of The iPhone 4S
This one was also big. Better processor means better graphics and speed for running games, apps in the background, web pages will load faster, etc.
New Dock Connector
Apple has switched from the long used 30-pin connector to a new connector called “Lighting”. It’s all digital and is 80% smaller than the original connector. Apple will also be selling a “Lightning to 30-pin connector” for all of your accessories that are obviously only compatible with the 30-pin.
This really is the thinnest and lightest iPhone to date; 7.6mm thin and weighing 112g with a body made of aluminum and glass. The camera lenses is made from Sapphire Crystal to resist scratches.
The iPhone 5 is available for pre-order Sept. 14th and will be released Sept. 21st in the US, Canada, the UK, France, Germany, Australia, Japan, Hong Kong, and Singapore.
