Tupac – Changes

Originally recorded in 1992 and later remixed and released in 1998, Changes is probably rapper Tupac’s most widely known hit and is listened to worldwide, as seen by its chart sales, in many a country.

It’s touching that we go back to this song today because it marks the anniversary of his death, some fifteen years ago, plus a day since his passing. The song was your typical Tupac in a sense, that it spoke out about racism, gang violence and the perils of selling drugs. Tupac seemed to get it just right in regards to making socially conscious rap whilst still being entertaining. It’s a shame the song was so big after his death, but this is to be expected in the music industry. This leads us on the final point as to whether we’ll ever see any more unreleased material from the man again. It’s a big if.
