Crooked I – In none we trust EP

Crooked I is fairly under looked in terms of being a good rap artist, so it was good to give his ‘In none we trust’ EP a listen through. The Slaughterhouse member is easily a good enough lyricist to hold up his own EP and this is the case here. Comparisons to Royce 5’9 can be made too, as the two share similar speed and punchlines which is a clear positive.

Overall, the project is well put together with eight tracks in length and has a number of features. It’s also good to hear a West Coast rapper once in a while who sounds different from the majority of rappers from the area, so in that respect it’s fairly refreshing. Whether he can provide the same amount of quality with a solo album is another thing entirely, but for now ‘In none we trust’ is a solid EP from a rapper to look out for in the future.
