Mobb Deep – Black Cocaine EP

In terms of releases, ‘Black cocaine’s reception has been quite small which is strange due to Mobb Deep being a massive name in hip hop. Released last week with little promotion or attention, their first release in a few years, ‘Black cocaine’ is an EP with five songs in total, including a Nas feature and production from the likes of the Alchemist.

After a few listens, it’s fair to say ‘Black cocaine’ is a pretty solid release with good production throughout. If it was double in length, it could have made a bigger storm as an album, but Mobb Deep listeners will just be pleased they’re back. As for content, flow and the general ‘Mobb Deep’ style – it’s all there, and little has changed!
