Wretch 32 – Forgiveness (Ft. Etta Bond)
We believe this is Wretch 32′s next release, and like ‘Don’t go’ – it’s a bit deeper than your usual mainstream song. As usual with Wretch 32, his music revolves around a lot of metaphors and punchlines, so a few repeat listens may be in order if the content goes over your head.
Basically, he speaks on trying to be a better father to his son, and looking after his widowed grandmother. As the title puts it – Wretch is looking for forgiveness in those areas of his life, where he could be more present with his loved ones. It’s quite a personal track and Etta Bond provides the chorus, which is sung over an electric gutair. In fact, we recently covered Pro Green’s next hit ‘Read all about it’ with Emeli Sande. The two songs are quite similar in the way they are emotional and aimed at the charts. Both are good songs, and hopefully this means a rise of better chart music, for the time being at least.
